Record the received condition
Identify the order line and photograph the package and ornament before disturbing them unnecessarily. Show the whole outline and any local fold or displacement. Keep package position and product identity linked so the supplier can understand what was received.
Compare with the approved reference
Place the ornament on a plain surface without pulling it into shape. Compare its outline with the agreed sample or dimensions, noting the method and points used. A perspective difference between two photographs is not automatically a measured dimensional discrepancy.

Send the concise record to the supplier and maker, asking what handling is suitable for this material and decoration. Do not prescribe ironing, steaming or adhesive from another product's instructions. Keep the affected item separate from those already approved for application while the question is open.
Document the next decision
Retain any guidance, agreed action and result with the original images. If a trial treatment is authorised, identify the item used and avoid applying it to the entire lot before review. Release to the workshop only after the relevant condition and application questions are resolved.
