Give every line a unit
Write product reference, colour, quantity and requested unit together. For our confirmed wax category, one piece is six yards, 115 cm wide and 100% cotton, with a one-piece minimum. Do not transfer those specifications or minimums to trims, embroidery or necklines.
Confirm ambiguous item counts
Ask whether a decorative reference is sold as one ornament, a defined set, a length or another confirmed unit. Check what a set includes before translating garment count into order count. An image showing several components does not define the purchase unit.
Explore the productsKeep conversions traceable
If the maker plans in centimetres or metres, preserve the supplier's sales unit beside the converted planning value. Record rounding and the actual cut arrangement. Do not turn several separate lengths into an assumed continuous run merely because the aggregate conversion is sufficient.
Review by category and reference
Confirm the conditions of each line independently and keep unresolved fields visible. A mixed shortlist does not establish mixed-order minimums or an included kitting service. Ask Rose about the specific combination rather than implying that one category's conditions govern the whole order.
A practical comparison
| Category | Keep explicit | Do not assume |
|---|---|---|
| Wax | Pieces and six-yard specification | A fixed garment yield |
| Trim | Confirmed length or sales unit | Wax minimums or continuous supply |
| Neckline | Contents per confirmed unit | A pictured combination is one set |
Your buying checklist
